We love this BBQ Tempeh recipe. The meaty texture of the tempeh and the sweetness of the BBQ sauce make this a deliciously chewy dish.
Tempeh is a traditional Asian food made from fermented soy. Unlike tofu, which is also made from soy beans, tempeh is less processed and made from the whole intact soy beans. It has been shown to contain the most “potent health protective properties, due to both higher soy concentration and the fermentation process.”
The tempeh in this recipe is marinated in BBQ sauce, but it tastes even better with a little extra sauce for dipping. Enjoy with a Vegan Baked Potato or Oven Roasted Red Potatoes and a Side Salad or some Broccoli Salad.
