Date Energy Balls
These Date Energy Balls are a tasty pre-workout energy snack with both protein and healthy carbs to fuel your exercise routine.

Ingredients

  1. Add the nuts to your food processor and pulse until they form large crumbs.
  2. With the processor running, add the dates and dried fruit through the feed tube and process until you have a mixture that sticks together when you press it between your fingers.
  3. Pour the mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap and form the mixture into an 8″x6″ rectangle and wrap in plastic.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  5. Cut into 12 equal, 2-inch square pieces and role each piece into a ball. Place in a sealable container.
Recipe Notes

Serving size is 1 ball, about 1 inch in diameter.

If you use unsalted nuts, add a pinch of salt to the food processor.
